1.       Analgesic (e.g. NSAIDS)
2.       Antibiotics e.g. vancomycin, aminoglycoside, tetracyline, sulphonamide, amphotericin, aciclovir
3.       ACE-i,A2A (angiotensin 2 receptor antagonist)
4.       Immunosuppresant (e.g. methotrexate, ciclosporin)
5.       Chemotherapeutic agent (e.g. cisplatin)
6.       Radiocontrast media
7.       Anaesthetic agent (methoxyflurane, enflurane)
8.       Heavy metal (e.g. mercuri, lead, cadmium, arsenic, bismuth)
9.       Organic solvent (e.g. ethylene glycol, carbon tetrachloride)
10.   Insecticides, herbicides, snake venom

Endogenous nephrotoxins
1.       Pigment e.g. haemoglobinuria, myoglobin
2.       Crystal e.g. urate
3.       Protein e.g. immunoglobulin light chain in MM
